Defrag_to_shutdown for Windows9x ver 0.8 by Bo Andersen

Defrag_to_shutdown will run Windows Defrag with three defragmentation options
and then shutdown the computer.

OPTIONS

Defrag1. All drives/RAM, files, noprompt, minimized, shutdown.
Defrag2. All drives/RAM, freespace, noprompt, minimized, shutdown.
Defrag3. All drives/RAM, files and freespace(complete), noprompt, minimized, shutdown.

Be sure that your computer supports direct shutdown from Windows and it doesnt
prompt you to turn it off manually at the famous splash screen
" its now safe to turn off your computer".

The shutdown feature should apply to Windows 95 osr2.1/2.5 and Windows 98.

TIPS

If you are having problems shutting down the computer from Windows
try shutting down all programs except Explorer using End Task accessed
by hitting Ctrl/Alt/Delete once before running Defrag_to_shutdown.
Virusscanners, taskmanagers and other programs that runs in the
background can cause Windows not to shutdown properly.

Be sure to run Scandisk now and then, standard or/and thorough check.

I usually turn off the monitor when running Defrag_to_shutdown, no need to
have it turned on for long period of time if its not to any use.

Please note that if you close Defrag before completion it will also cause Windows to shut down.
